The Estonian Academy of Sciences supports the international cooperation of researchers within the framework of the researcher exchange program. On the basis of the bilateral cooperation agreements concluded between the Academy and its foreign partners, the following are supported:
- short individual research visits (the call opens once a year) and
- research visits in the framework of joint research cooperation projects (calls take place based on agreements between academies).
FUNDING
- Bilateral exchange scheme is a cost-sharing co-operation instrument – the host Academy covers the accommodation costs and daily allowance (based on the rates of the host academy) of visiting researchers
- Costs directly related to research are not covered under either scheme.
- The Estonian Academy of Sciences does not cover visa or international travel costs. For partners, these conditions may differ.
PARTICIPANTS
From Estonia all researchers working in positively evaluated R&D institutions in Estonia, whose qualifications meet the conditions set by the partner academy, are eligible to apply for research visits (both in projects and individual visits) both as a sender and as a recipient (see conditions of partner academies).
The eligibility conditions differ at the partner academies, and it must be checked for each foreign academy whether your cooperation partner works in a research institution eligible for the funding.
The program in Estonia is supervised by the Council for International Exchanges of the Academy of Sciences.
